I was pretty disappointed with this book. I found it to be quite boring with little to no plot in the first 2/3s of the book. And even the last 1/3 I found myself having trouble actually caring about any of the characters. I felt like we were focusing on so many different people that I had no attachment to any one in particular. I read this book fairly quickly but I also feel like nothing actually happened.
Soooo good. Definitely recommend if you enjoy a good story
This was a really satisfying finale. While I was unhappy at some of the twists and turns in this installment, they made sense to the storyline, and I was mostly sad because of how it impacted the characters I'd grown to care about. The world of Fennbirn is one I find quite fascinating, with its triplet queens and its mist and its magical abilities. I would've loved to see more of its history (and do recommend the novellas for those who do want to see more than just our current triplet queen's story), especially the glimpses into the queens of the past. Nonetheless, this was an enjoyable series that came to a nice conclusion. I'm glad I gave it a go!
I gave it 4 stars because I truly do love this series but what a disappointing finale
Why is there still a triplet alive but she’s not the queen? What was the point of either Katharine or Mirabella’s deaths?
Why was there so little time spent on and with Jules and her legion curse? She let it loose just to kill one enemy and it didn’t really change.....anything?
The mist. I think it got what it wanted with the dead queens but it was just so anticlimactic after it being SUCH a huge issue.
All in all the whole finale was an anticlimactic letdown after a nice anticipatory build.

I liked it, but ugh, Arsinoe was my least favourite. Oh well. I say read it. If you have read the first three and have made it this far, just finish it. It was a good ending. 10/10 would recommend the series.

Honestly, I have a lot of mixed feelings. I liked that it was realistic in closing out the story of the three sisters without forcing a "happily ever after" - which wouldn't have been believable or fit with the tenor of the rest of the books. But the book really started to drag towards the end, and some of the more shocking plot twists seemed more random than anything else. It didn't leave any loose ends, but it didn't leave me feeling satisfied either. A pity, since I think the series as a whole had a lot of potential.
I’m sad to say that this series, that I have enjoyed so much, ended with a whimper instead of a bang.
