This book was a bit of a disappointment to me. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't as interesting or mindblowing an ending as I had hoped for this series. The pacing felt a bit off, it was a pretty slow book until the last third or so. Then it suddenly went very fast and even seemed a bit rushed.
I'm not sure if I liked the way it ended, but it wasn't terrible either. It just all felt a bit dull to me.
Still liked it enough to give it 3 stars, but I definitely feel like this series could have ended on a stronger note.

I normally just give a book stars and go on my merry way, but I feel the need to post for this one. I had such high hopes for the final book, but I feel like so many things fell flat and there was a ***spoiler alert: a lot of senseless killing to main characters. Instead of taking the time to think out a better way to continue the plot, it felt like the author just did what was easiest for her to get to the end of the book. I'm partly salty because my favorite character died a stupid unnecessary death.
Good! It was good! Finally more explanations, with just enough left open.
This has been a very creative, entertaining series. I’m sorry it’s over.

I've gone back and forth between 2 & 3 stars, in the end this is a 2 star for me. Im disappointed because the series as a whole, I enjoyed, this ending was just not it for me. It felt rushed, poorly formulated and forced. The magic system in this series is such a mess but tolerable until this last book. Especially the mist and the dead queens. Not explained, just convenient, easy and used to further the story. I really really wanted to love this ending, seeing as how i'm invested 4 books now, Sadly I just didn't.
The last 200 pages of this book was all that I wanted from this series!! Drama!! Intrigue!! Murder!! It was so good but it’s kind of a shame it came so late. Again this book dragged at the beginning but the end section made up for it definitely. While not perfect a romp and a riot!
