Thoughts: Story was just ok, this author is not ok, very diappointed to learn about her

I just loved this second book and especially the epilogue. I also find it funny how it reminds me of the Disney movie, "Lady and the Tramp". He's the bad boy and she's the good girl and then he's also nicknamed her Pigeon. Too cute!!

Anyways, loved it and it was worth the wait!

I am so in love with this couple and their story that I was so excited to read it from Travis' point of view. I was worried that I would be reading the same exact story but I'm happy to report that it didn't feel like exatcly the same thing. I did find that sometimes I couldn't understand why Travis was doing what he was doing. I felt that his POV at some parts weren't explained very well. At some points in this book I did feel like Abby looked a little crazy and irrational at times. She seemed very dramatic from Travis' point of view and she seemed to send mixed sigals to him. Now I understand why he was so frustrated. This is definitely not something you can read as a stand alone, you must read Beautifully Broken first. If you have read it though I definitely think this is worth a read.

It's a lot of the same story from Beautiful Disaster but still very good.

This book reminds me how I hate reading guy's pov. No pun intended but most of the time. I don't enjoy their musing but with a few exception with some series eg. A song of Fire and Ice. Tyrion Lannister.

I don't really have any high expectation for this book so It didn't surprised me anymore how I didn't like it.

It’s not that I didn’t like this book but I can’t stand it when a book is just a revamp from another character’s POV. It’s like you’re reading the same book twice.

I liked this book much better than the first. I don't know if it is because I already had the understanding of what happened from the other point of view or what, but having Travis's POV made the whole series better.

I always understood Abby's reluctance to fall for Travis and that their love for each other eventually grew until neither of them could fight it, but the intensity was just a bit much in Beautiful Disaster. One of the most unbelievable things was how Travis, known playboy, could completely change his ways and be so devoted to Abby seemingly out of nowhere with no reason. Why was she different? The question was posed and never really answered in the first book, but reading Travis's side of the story finally answers it.

"Our story might have been typical:Bad boy falls for good girl, but Abby was no princess. She was hiding something. Maybe that was our connection: whatever it was that she left behind."

"She was my opposite: innocent on the surface and damaged deep within."

I also like how this one went beyond the previous and we see how their lives turned out.

I told myself earlier this week that I would start writing reviews. I read too many books not to (not to mention I really appreciate and base a lot of my book choices on others' reviews). So here goes:
I really enjoyed Walking Disaster. Beautiful Disaster was one of my favorite books of 2012-perhaps of all time. I knew going in that WD was the retelling of BD from Travis' perspective so I was not expecting a bunch of new material. I loved Travis' voice. He was so passionate and sensitive-it made me fall in love with him all over again. The new scenes were a surprise and well worth the read in and of itself. I read other reviews of disappointment but I believe that if you go into reading WD knowing you are not getting a bunch of new scenes, you will enjoy this read. I don't know if anyone else feels this way and haven't seen any information on blogs etc., but I would really LOVE a Trent/Cami story. I feel like there is something there....To be honest-I LOVE all the Maddox boys.
All in all, I felt this was the perfect "extension" of BD. McGuire lets the reader inside Travis' head and heart. I would agree with others that Abby comes across as insensitive in WD, but if you've read BD you've heard her voice and know what she is thinking/feeling. Abby and Travis remain one of my favorite book couples of all time!!!

someecards.com - I wish Travis Maddox would pull up on his Harley, drive me to one of his fights, win a grand, then take me to Vegas to get married. Too Much?

I personally didn't need the epilogue, but that storyline would still make a book I'd be interested in reading. I'm glad I didn't write this story off as a cash grab cuz I actually enjoyed it more than Beautiful at times.

I forgot how much I loved this disastrous relationship! Glad we finally got some insight into the Pigeon nickname, too.
