It is amazing! I just loved to know what is happening inside Travis's head. The only part I didn't quite like was the end. But I could always pretend it never happent.
And I have one more thing to say...
you all can forget about Abby, Travis "Mad Dog" Maddox is MINE!

Why do I do this to myself? I wasn't happy with the ending of the first installment, I knew this book would end the same, yet I insisted on finishing it. I was hoping that reading what Travis was thinking would redeem him a little bit, so that I could understand why he was so needy, dependant and hot-tempered. (Even beyond hot tempered, he flies off the handle for stupid, stupid things.) But this book just didn't deliver, instead I felt it was just revealed how truly immature he is, well both him and Abby really.
Also the epilogue, REALLY?!?! Well isn't that all just tied into a neat little bow. But really none of the issues either character had, his possessive, dependant, hot-headed personality, her fear of repeating the past and knowing they aren't good for one another, were dealt with. They are brushed under the rug, with a "in-the-face" to everyone who said we couldn't do it.
My biggest worry is that since this is a teen series, teens will read this book (Yea... that's the point you say). I know, but not only is it that teens are reading this, but that this is what they think love is, and what they should strive to have in their lives. Reality check. This is a dysfunctional, terrifying relationship. You shouldn't have to worry about a man/boy wanting to possess you. It isn't romantic, it is screwed up. Someone who has a temper that will destroy an apartment, and stalk you until you cave, isn't going to change because "you are the one and we are destined". Those are just words to play off of guilt so you won't leave.
Despite all my issues with this book, I still finished it. Which leads me to believe like others this is the book equivalent of heroin. I know it is bad for me, and won't add anything to my life, but I'll be damned if I will quit before I hit rock bottom.
I can honestly say, I am done with this series now.

This book is basically exactly the same as beautiful disaster. For my review on that book click here.
I did find this book a little better, but the story remains exactly the same and I found myself skipping over many parts because I just read them. I did find less agression in this - though it could just be in the parts I skipped - and the ending goes beyond the ending in the first book with a small chapter 11 years in the future. Maybe it was just less shocking because I already read everything in book 1. When I think about, Travis is still the same aggressive asshole as before and Abby is still the idiot that lets him treat her that way.
Honestly, if you didn't like the first book, don't read this book. It's just litteraly the same story, the same conversations, the same actions but from a different point of view.

Good to know everything from Travis perspective. Same story but with a manly approach.
After reading beautiful disaster and feel in love with the book it was cool experiencing it from travis point of view and yes duhh I loved it
This book wasn't the whole experience from his point of view, like I was expecting. Instead, it only showed his thoughts during hand picked interactions. I wasn't able to feel as much for the character, since I was constantly having to recall details from the previous book.
Still nice though to see inside his head. But I probably wouldn't have read it having known ahead of time what it was like.

I'm a sucker for the book from the male's perspective. Which is what this book is, this is the first book from Travis's POV. This couple is more real to life than your average "romance" novel couple. This book along with the After series will live rent free in my brain for a long time.
More like a 2.5/5
I thought I really liked the first book but while I was reading Walking Disaster, I was reminded of all the little things I didn't like in this story! Too many clichés, Abby is too stubborn and annoying and Travis is just "too much" in a negative kind of way...
However, I'll try to read the 《Maddox Brothers》 books
