This was the perfect companion to her first book Beautiful Disaster, and it was great reading everything that happened from Travis's point of view.
After reading Beautiful Disaster, I knew I needed to read the follow up, Walking Disaster. It’s the same story, just from the perspective of Travis. Despite some reservations I had with the characters of the first book and their actions (namely Travis and his controlling, borderline abusive behavior), there’s something intriguing about this story. Maybe I’m just a sucker for bad boys? Who knows lmao I enjoyed the added scenes of what Travis was doing when apart from Abby and how he was feeling about everything. I am very glad I read Beautiful Disaster first though as this book skims over some pretty important scenes from the first and only lightly mentions them. I also enjoyed the added scenes at the end, though the epilogue was a tiny bit cheesy lol I think I’m going to read Beautiful Wedding next and then start the Maddox Brother series.

I liked Trav's POV more than I liked Abby's. It was less whiny.
This one won't be too long at all, mainly because it's pretty much the same exact story told through Travis' eyes. You still have to read the first one, because this one skips some parts and only references others in passing. It also adds a couple parts and gives further insight into others. That being said, it's worth reading if you love Travis as much as I do. It's the same story, and yet, it's so much different this way. Still 4.5 stars.
I love books like this that are written from both perspectives. Though I tend to enjoy the dude's POV the best.
So that being said, I loved Travis and Abby's story even more after reading this book and I'm sad that it's over. It will probably be a while before I find another book or series that can compare.

Beautiful disaster but from the male protagonist Travis’ point of view falls quite short of expectations. While there are some newly added scenes filling in some gaps from Beautiful Disaster, and a nice epilogue to allow for a glimpse into the future of Travis and Abby, this book comes with the prerequisite that you read the previous one. Pivotal moments are glossed over with one-sentence explanations, conversations are cut short, and plot holes are created.
Abby seems to be quite absent from this book as McGuire assumes you have read the previous, so doesn’t really introduce her. She also comes across as cruel and spiteful in this book, which she didn’t in the previous one.
It was nice to see the glimpse into Travis’ family life and I only wish we saw more of that. Shepley got rounded out nicely in this one too, however America’s personality and decisions seemed to ping pong around when you are aware of the plot of the previous book.

I read Beautiful Disaster, and then proceeded to devour the entire Maddox Brothers series before reading Walking Disaster. I think this was a good way to pace the story. Reading BD and then WD back to back may have been too much, and too repetitive. But I did really enjoy seeing things from Travis' POV. I hope we get more novels about this family ASAP!!!
I think I liked Travis' POV better. The epilogue was surprisingly good as well.
if you loved BD, you'll absolutely love this. i didn't know travis thought he was so underserving of abby. i now truly understand his character, although i have to admit, some of his stubbornness with abby might have rubbed off on me. LOL
the epilogue was PERFECTION ❤
