When I was in fourth grade we had read aloud and this is one of the books we read. The whole class would crack up at the very funny parts.

Read this with my daughter, was every bit as sad for Bradley as I was when I read as a kid. A few things that don't age well, but remarkably on point for a 40 year old book

Really liked this as a kid (though I remember being disappointed it didn't have more gender in which should have been a sign tbh)
Eh a bit outdated and lowkey confusing. Read it to my 5th grade class and they kinda liked it.
Great heartfelt story
One of the first stories I read as a child that gave the bully a backstory and reason for their behavior. Great choice for a read along to get kids talking about behavior motivation and social inclusion.

Even that I'm 15 and this book is for kids, I liked it so much. I Wish I read it when I was younger. Why did I never try to read more before? Any way I really enjoy this book and this is the first book that I read in just 4 hours. ~ A NEW RECORD ~
Favorite character: Carla
least favorite character: Jeff
I like how Bradley's behaviors changed through the book , how he tried not to be a monster, These all changed my mood in a good way.

Read this to see if it's a good fit for the kids at my work.
The title and cover image feel clickbaity, like it's a story about a trans kid. It's not. But it's still a good story for kids, about how a "bad kid" grows into a happy, liked, responsible one.
