Ok so slow start but it does grip you well throughout starts to get good around halfway but it was the ending that made it four stars to me made my jaw drop Also did enjoy the flashbacks to their past as you learn more about the characters, only thing is by the end you will be shouting at the protagonist to wake the fuvk up

Gripping Read

A book that books you instantly and one that you can't put down. I really enjoyed, although the twist wasn't that much of a surprise! But very worth the read.

A rather mediocre thriller, nothing special really. The character development was rather shallow and the ending quite unsatisfying, as it was simply too sudden and illogical without anything in the previous storling leading up to it. Still, it did grip me to some extent and it was an okayish light read for in-between.

Slow start but stick with it!

I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book but I am so glad I continued past the first few chapters. The book is well-written and the characters are well-developed. None of them, except Bill, are particularly likeable, but that made the book even more interesting to me, I think! I can honestly say I suspected each male character at one point or another but didn't truly guess correctly, and I liked the twists in the story too.

I recommend this book, and look forward to reading other works by this author.

A good read, but the ending was pretty easy to guess.

Holy smokes! This book had a lot of twists and turns. It did get a bit tedious and dragged at times, but WOW.
Six friends get together for a reunion of sorts. The night is filled with laughter and drinking. Several hours later, in the dead of night, Karen comes running in, screaming that she'd been raped by her friend Mike, Ali's husband. In a bit of irony, Ali volunteers at a women's shelter, advocating for women who are sexually and physically abused. Does Ali stick by her husband, or her best friend Karen?

What ensues is a twisting tale of previous misdeeds as we learn that all the characters have their secrets-including the children.

This novel was wonderfully written, delving deep into the characters lives. A definite page turner to add to your collection.

I think I am going to have to DNF this one.

My first one this year :-(
