What a book to be reading during our own pandemic. This one kills almost everyone. The only ones left are children and a few men. Faye is the only woman. Faye is a very negative person and it almost ruins the book. But, near the end, instead of killing herself she decides to live and it changes the entire momentum of the book. You can't help but cheer for her. Can't wait to read the next book.

4.5 stars. I reeeeally enjoyed this book. The plot is fast-paced, the characters are interesting and I just could not put it down. I see some other reviews stating their annoyance at the main character Faye, but I think the character, her actions and her behaviour just really reflects the post-apocalyptic nature of this book. Overall, it was a very enjoyable read and I can’t wait to get stuck into the next one!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've read a few books by Jacqueline Druga now and I usually like them. This book did not disappoint.

The pacing was good and I finished reading in a few hours. There wasn't a lot of world building because it wasn't needed but I did like how the author managed to create a clear picture of choas, disaster and fear.

I liked how each of the characters were introduced slowly. They were all likeable and relatable.

The dialogue was a little confusing at times because it would seem like the same person was talking, when it was actually another character replying and so I found myself re-reading certain parts to double check.

The ending was a cliffhanger but it was left in a good place and made me want to read the next book immediately.

I look forward to learning more about the outbreak and the survivors.

I really, really thought I was going to hate this book. It started off as I expected, thinking that the book would all be in the single POV with no other characters. Boy, was I surprised by the cast of characters. Great, different take on the end of the world scenario.

I really hope there will be more to this.

Thank god this is short. Good premise, painful writing.

What an interesting book.

It's a zombie book but without the zombies.
Faye survives the pandemic that has killed just about everyone. With no reason to live she decides to go home and end her life. But on the way she meets a survivor.

The Last Woman is not easy to define. It's very internal, and honestly quite melancholy. But I think because it was such an interesting take on the dystopian genre, almost like a journal, I found myself enjoying it. And in sense because it felt like a personal account the flaws, and there are a few, didn't really bother me.

I borrowed this as an Ebook from Amazon. While the story was great, whoever edited this text needs to be fired. I've never seen so many punctuation errors and typos in my life.

As for the story, I found Faye to be whiny and overly pessimistic. The story, however, kept my attention the entire time, and left me hanging and wanting more, hence the 4 star rating.
