I was really hooked on this for the first half - long lost love, a big secret, and a bit of magic? I’m sold. The descriptions of Saoirse were atmospheric and beautiful, I felt like it was fall and I was there. But the ending was a letdown and I didn’t quite get the closure I wanted. The ending felt rushed and abrupt.

cool murder mystery, bonus points for it taking place a long time after. i like the inclusion of magic. more bonus points for MCs in their 30s. not a whole lot of character development, but the plot was intriguing and i like how it ended. made me cry
