Spells For Forgetting by Adrienne Young totally pulled me in from the very first page! The island setting is so atmospheric... I could practically feel the fog and smell the saltwater while reading. The mix of magic, mystery, and romance had me hooked.
Emery is such a relatable character, and her connection with August is seriously intense. I loved the slow unraveling of their past and the island’s secrets. There’s this constant eerie vibe that keeps you on edge, but in a way that makes you want to read more. Young’s writing is gorgeous, and the whole story just feels like it’s dripping with tension and magic.
The only tiny reason I’m not giving it a full 5 stars is that the ending felt a little too quick for me—I just wanted a bit more! But honestly, that’s not a dealbreaker. If you’re into stories with small-town secrets, witchy vibes, and a touch of romance, you’ll love this one. Definitely worth picking up!
