Love the art. Laura's so toxic, gosh. She had it coming. Freddy, breaking up with her took a lot of strength. She's a great friend also. But the Kindle format is messed up. It should've been a whole page zoom like a normal comic (my head ached to zoom by panel) But I enjoyed this nonetheless.✨

This is one of those books that perfectly nails coming of age. Falling in love with someone who doesn’t love and respect you back even close to as much? We’ve all been there. I think I saw so much of myself in this story. It’s such an amazing book for advice and empathy for everyone but especially the teen queer community. I know I definitely  will  be recommending to my high school students.

I absolutely loved the art style of this book. The color palette and the delicate lines created such a strong mood. If you’re a person who has ever watched someone be in a relationship with a manipulative/toxic person, this is a tough and stressful read.
I think it’s important to show those kinds of relationships as a warning, but I also wish that the decision to break up with Laura Dean came from within Freddy instead of from an adult woman on the internet. The ending tied up a bit too nicely for me, but I did feel strongly for Freddy and was relieved that she was out of that situation.
