So, it’s not that the writing is bad or anything, but this book pissed me off. The FMC was annoying and her thought process about their relationship made 0 sense to me. A lot of their issues and character development didn’t really make sense. The MMC was a huge dick in the third act break up—to such extent that I was doubting he could bounce back in my eyes—and I was right. Weak apology. It just didn’t do it for me. Decent spice, though.

The FMC was such a hypocritical, childish, cruel idiot. The MMC was only marginally better. And both the leads were acting like high schoolers the whole time - not an ounce of emotional maturity to be found for ppl in their late 20s. The writing style was flat - the book was a lot more telling than showing - and there was no depth or character growth. I was hoping this would give me beach read vibes but alas…
