What a weird end to the series...

This story got DARK. I was left with a feeling of much more to be desired. I agree with some other people who said it was a lack luster ending to an otherwise solid story.

Plutona starts out weird-but-promising and ends weird-but-weird. The last issue feels rushed, crammed with too much plot and sadly devoid of the wonderful character notes that makes the first couple issues so interesting. Maybe I'd feel differently if I were reading the trade, rather than following issue by issue, but it didn't feel like an ending worth waiting for.

How does the existence of real life superheroes affect kids? Weeeell, like everything else in the human world: some don't care (the meh), some like, some are obsessed, some hate, some are posers who won't admit their interest, yadda yadda. (This isn't exclusive to minors)

Now I'm wondering why I ever wanted to read this.
Thankfully, or not, it was a short series. Thankfully, because it felt done, with no depth, and if it continued in that fashion, it would be torture for me. On the other hand, if it had been better explored and built, it might have made more justice to the gritty story, despite the jerk teens. Tweens?

The story left that feeling we all know: That's IT??
Loss of innocence, growing up, changes. We all love stories about this, but sometimes these expressions are used to make something feel more deep than it really is. It ain't that deep.

Dark ending. Now live with it.
Are we really supposed to believe the cops won't find out what happened, rendering the kids social pariahs? They buried the body. Juvie! Juvie! Juvie!

This was a cool concept, but nothing is done with it. It's a very boring and not thought out corruption of power story, but also not. "I've Got Batman in My Basement" is similar and does better with the concept so not even points for originality. The art style is fine. I think this comic is too short to really do anything and doesn't know what it wants to be. It's touches on multiple things and then says nothing about anything.

It's library/borrow graphic novel in all honesty. There's just not enough to it. The art is probably the best part (if anything).

A dead body in the forest. But it gets much weirder than that... One big problem I ad wasn't with the comic, but with the copy, which says it's a group of friends. To call these kids friends by any stretch of imagination would be wrong. The two girls are friends, sure. But that's about it. Two unlikeable kids, one unassuming little brother, one sweet girl, and a nerd does not make a group of friends.

Recommended for twitchers, pear lovers, and gameboy devotees.
