The story wasn’t very interesting but the drawings were well done.

A diverse but intriguing cast of characters carries DIGGER so well that you'll find yourself debating whether you really want to go to bed or if you can manage to stay up for a few more pages. Or volumes. Don't skim through the panels, because you run the risk of missing some gems in the background scenery. Ursula Vernon has a quirky sense of humor, making this one of those books that'll leave you smiling and chuckling at times (which may make you seem crazed, since the whole story's about a wombat, but hey).

Wombats of prophesy, slug-flavored beer, shadowchildren, talking Ganesh statues, clairvoyant slugs. This was a fun graphic novel. Looking forward to #2.

Super adorable. Kind without being twee. It definitely made me want to read the rest of the series.

The beginning of one of my favorite stories. The artwork, the story - just fantastic.
