Pretty good billionaire boyfriend story. I couldn't put it down for the first couple of days, but the sadness towards the end made the last few chapters a slow read. Not overly sad, just more than I prefer. Overall, good book, would maybe recommend....

Idk man. I've been reading a lot of throwaway romances to take my mind off of our burning planet and this was a solid three stars. It was a fun read and not badly written, but the last quarter or so felt like I was reading fanfic based on the first three.

This book was recommended following a group discussion on the lack of real romance in most modern-day romance novels. It did not disappoint.
Some of the things I loved :
* The humor. I Laughed out loud A LOT. Some parts were also emotional
*The couple's communication, including the inside jokes, and how their relationship progressed over time.
* The challenges they faced as each unpacked their baggage and dealt with their insecurities in the relationship. One of the MCs was going through grief due to the death of a loved one. so it is nice to see this expressed in a book.
* The novel also touches on mental health in a subtle way
* While the MCs supported each other while unpacking their baggage, each did their own healing. The relationship seemed healthy and a good balance between sex and romance.
The narrators are amazing AS USUAL. my only disappointment was that the narrator sometimes voiced the male and the female in the chapter rather than each narrator sticking to their gender. but this is typically found in the narrations so no real complaint there.

Great banter
Bossman...what can I say..smart sexy and witty Chase meets his match when he meets Reese in outside the bathroom at a restaurant. They have easy witty banter and a connection that they feel in their soul. Great read with some heartbreak in there. Vi Keeland gives us another great read!

I would read literally anything by this author after finishing two of her books. While I love a good, smutty book, the heart included in her books and the raw emotion have had me both times.
The FMC is reflective , loving and has great emotional depth.
And Chase. Lord , almighty, chase . He may be the standard.
Nice to have a millionaire romance that the MMC isn’t just throwing around douchey money. You wouldn’t even know he was loaded. He was subtle and thoughtful.
