This has taken me so long to get through that I completely forgot what was happening, but I was far enough through it that I didn’t want to start over and just continued on. I still don’t really know all that has happened. There’s just so many perspectives to keep track of. I know I definitely liked the previous book a bit more, this one just felt like it dragged on. I’m thinking maybe this series just isn’t totally for me, especially since the only character I really care about is Arya

Can't wait to read what's next.

I really like this book, although it ended with a cliffhanger. The characters that have the spotlight came through with character building and the events that transpiredn tested them as people with real conflicts. Cercei was so entertaining in this book (the evil bitch finally getting what she deserves), Jaime was jaw dropping with his dicisions concerning Cercei vs. the realm. I mean, the things going through his head is reall well thought out by GRRM. I think he thinks his alone now, I'm really anxious to find out what would happen to him in the next book.

And Brienne! Poor (not really)little baby. Will she live? Will she survive? Lady Catelyn turning zombie is really a major plot twist; she thinks everyone is the enemy now. I wonder if she'll recognize Blackfish if ever they meet. I'm pretty sure that Blackfish is alive and is out there somewhere with a plan (or not).

It's also very sneaky of GRRM to make the characters interact without them knowing who they're talking to. For example, when Sam was saved by Cat in Braavos, I just wanted to shout at him because that's frickin Arya Stark in front of you, you stupid, stupid boy! The same when Jaime met the singer Tom of Sevenstrings(?) and Brienne confusing Gendry for Renly.

Oh, poor Brienne. My heart really went out for her. She can no longer look at the world the same again. It isn't blak and white for her anymore because it was proved to her in this book even noble knights and kind ladies can turn astray.

I have a lot more things I want to say but this is all I can do for now.

Not as fantastic as the first three, but still pretty great. I can't wait for A Dance With Dragons!

Incredible and in any other series would have been rated higher. Killing off main characters is cool and all, but man did I miss their perspectives and the exploits of the Young Wolf. The lack of Tyrion’s POV and lack of info on what is going on along The Wall suckeeeeed. I know GRRM said in the next book everyone else’s point of view would be covered. That doesn’t mean that this book does not lack for them though.

Also can’t help but not really give a shit about the Greyjoy chapters or what was going on in Dorne

RIP TO THE GOAT BRIENNE OF TARTH
