Well written with great insight into some new character perspectives. I quite enjoyed the addition of Brienne and Cersei's. Nice political intrigue per usual, and especially good and captivating dialogue. Some more traveling than normal was kind of comforting as well. However, nothing about this book wows me. It's just...good, while I was hoping for a continuation of the brilliance in A Storm of Swords. It really does feel lacking with the absence of Tyrion, Jon, and Daenerys. Nor did I hardly care for any of the other new POVs, besides those following the Ironborn. I anticipate I'll enjoy A Dance with Dragons more because of this, though we shall see.

4.5 ⭐️⭐️ I loved that we got different characters and got to see more of King’s landing. Cersei made me want to jump in the book and kick her ass. I really loved how Jamie read the message then had it thrown in the fire
