SpoilerNot having Jon and Danny POVs in this book was interesting. Good book, just not quite as good as the first 3.

It's almost ridiculous how quickly I finished this book in comparison with the last one. I think I didn't realize how difficult I found it to read about plotlines I found boring until there weren't any. GRRM really decided to treat me this book with almost NONE of my least favorite POVs, which was absolutely lovely. However, that does mean that next book is going to be a real struggle, because it will be almost entirely my least favorite POVs. Not sure how I feel about that. Either way, I really enjoyed this one- definitely my favorite of the series so far.
My major takeaways:
- Jaime is legit losing it. Put that guy in a room with Lancel, Osmund Kettleblack, and Moon Boy and he's the only one coming out alive. I don't want to listen to him moaning about those guys everrrr again I will lose my mind.
- I thought I would hate all of the Iron Islands politics that we got into with this book but I actually really enjoyed it. Asha is SO COOL and I love her.
- Sansa and Brienne chapters are better than all of the others by farrrrrr, those are my girls and I would die for them.
- Cersei POV is crazy because she's so insane and evil but I love the Tyrells so I love her chapters because she's always talking about them lol <3
- Whatever Qyburn is up to is seriously horrifying, I do NOT want to hear more about that guy. Evil incarnate.
- Do not let me anywhere near Petyr Baelish or he will die.

I can't in good faith give one of these books five stars because it is simply not a five star experience, but this one came close. The different chapter titles when characters are pretending to be someone else? Immaculate. I ate that up. I'm sort of not excited for the next one but at least I get to know what my guys Jon and Theon are up to...I don't really care about any of the other characters. It's gonna be rough.
