Noting better than when opposites attract and once again Karla Sorensen brings her readers a storyline and characters that will never be forgotten. Each and every time Lydia and Erik interacted it was an awesome pull and pull and the tension goes from hatred to pure lust. The family interactions and the true sense of togetherness is one the reader will truly enjoy and the chemistry and spark make the chapters fly by. This is a book you will read from beginning to end without putting it down.

Really love seeing the next gen all grown up! Of course, the happy hearted and sassy Lydia would pair with a grumpy guy! These two were match made in heaven. Erik was so delectable in all his broody grumpy glory! And boy did Lydia test every bit of his patience which made for some hilarious banter. I loved seeing daddy Luke! *swoon*
The forced proximity really allowed these two to build their relationship to where you truly believed in them falling as fast as they did. It also led to some steamy moments after almost drowning under their thick sexual tension. The Plan was a sweet and entertaining story and my heart smiled when Erik finally came to his senses for his woman! Can’t wait to see who’s next, I have my theories so I’m eager to see if I’m right.

Falling for the Bodyguard? Sign. Me. Up.
Fake dating? Oh yessssssss.
Influencer and all that comes with it? Yeah, hard pass.
Those were my thoughts going into The Plan, and I am happy to say that I enjoyed reading it.

Lydia and Erik are an overall good couple, as well as individual characters.

Lydia is strong, she doesn’t put up with people mistreating her (at least not anymore), she knows what she wants and is comfortable voicing it and working for it. At the same time, her vulnerability regarding the accident shines through in a relatable way.
I was hesitant towards her due to what we knew of her from the previous book, as well as her lifestyle as an influencer. I am glad that she wasn’t what I expected, mostly due to her being over the influencer thing.

I really enjoyed Erik as the strong, quiet, grumpy hero. Watching him thaw towards Lydia was heart warming and adorable. But while I was content with who he is, I am not too happy with his issues and how they were handled.

I didn’t like though that there were some story lines that weren’t concluded over the curse of the book. Some were things that were a big deal for the overall story line and suddenly weren’t an issue anymore, others didn’t play into the story at all, which makes me curious as to why they were often mentioned, yet not explained or resolved.

Overall, this was a good storyline fitting the characters, but left room for more.

I enjoyed bits of this and I liked Lydia but I I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wish I did - hence the 3 stars.

I didn’t know what I was expecting but I thought this would be a big fake dating book but it had a few moments where the fake dating occurred but in reality it was more of the guy having feelings but not being able to let go of the past to accept the future he could have.

I know he was hurt in the past and it was heartbreaking but I felt like his reasons for keeping himself away from his family and refusing to let himself be loved or loved wasn’t as massive as it was made out to be in my eyes? I get he was in pain but he shouldn’t of allowed that hurt to punish someone who only trying to love him.

Also I truly thought that Ian was the man his ex wife had cheated on him with so it was a bit anti climactic when he was just also grumpy.

The scene where she hears him insult her and diminish her was sad and I wanted him to grovel more. We didn’t get any groveling and it seemed like it got wrapped up to quickly considering we were told before she was devastated for weeks.

This was seriously grumpy x sunshine up until the very end. Erik really pulled away constantly. I wish he had gotten his head out of his ass a bit earlier and we could of seen them as a couple a bit more than just a brief window in the epilogue.

ARC from Karla & Wildfire Marketing so thank you so much for an early copy of a book into one of my favourite sports romance universes.

Karla writes sports romance like no other, she creates family, shared connection and love between everyone. It's hard not to fall so easily in love with you her characters and the couple watching their natural chemistry and bond grow as the story goes on.

Lydia and Erik was like no other, they were perfect and I loved them endlessly.

To the simple car rides, to the time spent with his family.

His sisters and family was also the sweetest little addition to this book.

This book delivered and then some. It was everything you wanted in a light-hearted, sweet, cozy romance that brought tension and angst to the dimension as well. It was perfectly written. And the character growth for each of them makes the story even better.

Realising they are better together.

I can't get enough of the Washington Wolves and the world, Karla just gives providing and I keep devouring. And I cannot wait to see what she brings next to this universe.

The ending of this book had absolutely nothing to do with the plot. I feel like there should have been more to the first half of the book, if only this book was 50 pages more...

Another great book continuing the stories of our favorite Washington Wolves family. I’ve obviously adored this whole series since @sportschicreads told me I needed to read it a few years back. She wasn’t wrong (she also has a post outlining the books/family trees) and I of course jumped at the chance to get an ARC for the newest book in the kids series. I love that Lydia basically took Erik by storm. He had absolutely no idea what he was getting himself into. You need to read this if you like: grumpy/ sunshine, forced proximity, meddling families, and of course sports romance. Sometimes with a grumpy sunshine setup, it’s hard to get that chemistry and build of will they won’t they. But Karla nailed it, the communication of stares/ glares/ sighs from both Lydia and Erik was perfect. Aslo, the flag football scene is *chefs kiss* , you’ll know when you get there.

If you’ve liked Out Of the Blue or Chloe Liese’s Bergman series I think you’ll really enjoy this one.
