Loved this book, suspenseful and mysterious, it always kept me guessing.

Seriously, please avoid this book. The first third started out great, I was very into it. A large twist occurs and I just finished it for the sake of finishing it. Don't believe all the positive hype.

A mystery whodunnit with lots of twists and turns. I liked that we got to hear from both main characters, initially to confuse the readers and later on to hear from both sides more truthfully. I’m a little dissatisfied with the ending being slightly unclear. After all that happened in the book I thought it would be a little bit more concrete. I think that was the point, but it’s not what I was hoping for. Morally grey characters is always a plus for me, I kind of hated everyone. Well-paced book.

I watched the movie years ago when I was a teenager and it was really interesting to finally read the book and see what got left out. I think I’ll have to give it a rewatch.
Nick and Amy are both terrible. They are not likable but at the same time, they are fascinating and enjoyable to read about. They deserve each other in a sick, twisted way.
I definitely recommend the book but I think you’ll get more enjoyment going in blind and watching the movie after you finish reading the book.
