3.5/5 - I really enjoyed this book; the fact that it’s a true story made it all the more astounding (unbelievable at times) and while I liked it, I didn’t love some of the writing structure. All in all, absolutely worth reading.

I loved this book but I started out a bit leery, asking myself how an entire family of Jews would have been able to avoid prosecution at this time. So I chalked it up to creative freedom. But I quickly forgot my skepticism while reading the book, and after reading the Afterward, and realizing that it is a true story, I love this book even more! 5/5
