5⭐️ Psy-Changeling Book: 15 (Assembly)
This book is all plot. So much continued and resolved and closed. We lost a beloved character. It was both sad and a sense of relief. This book wrapped up a lot of threads that we have been watching weave while also giving us new problems. It feels like a season finale to a good ass television show. Getting to see the next generation and the way the bonds formed now could affect the future. Also I’m glad Nikita has been getting the credit she deserves as being a good but distant mother. I loved the hinting at her and Anthony’s relationship. (I’m gonna need a book for them). We also get love letters from a priest and someday I’m gonna write a book with that same title. There were easter eggs and call backs from some of the Psy-Changeling novellas that I read a couple years ago. This novel coalesced so much good shit in one book. And because I was in the mood for romance and it seems this book had no direct couple, I thought I’d be uninterested but do I cried and laughed and had all the feels. This was great!

I liked this book. Nalini Singh did a good job writing a cohesive story despite checking in with 14 books (and many novellas) worth of characters. There's nothing here to surprise readers: lots of kumbaya, a lot of story space used to talk about childcare, a bit of sequel bait, and the start of the new story arc about the latest bid for world domination. I'm glad that so much was left open for future books - it's too complex a world to be able to tie everything in a bow in each book. It took something like 12 books to bring down Silence, I hope the next story arc is as far reaching.

I know a lot of people disagree, but Allegiance of Honor had the right mix of characters for me. While I love this series, naturally there are characters that appeal to me more than others and my favorites were there! I was really happy that Annie got some page space. I'd love some more time with Nikita and Anthony, but I don't know how much we'll ever know about them since I don't think there's been a psy, changeling, or human Singh heroine (in any series) over 30.

The best thing about Allegiance of Honor - no virgins!

I don't even know where to start for this review!  I mean, I liked Allegiance Of Honor, but not as much as I thought I would or as much as I wanted to.  I really did want to like it more, but I think, after Heart Of Obsidian, I started to lose interest a little bit.

Overall, I've really enjoyed this series, and I really love the world.  I liked catching up with all of my favorite characters, and seeing how everything was resolved.  I liked seeing everyone come together for the Trinity Accord, and how important it was for Trinity to stay standing.  Everyone wanted a better world for all Psy, Changelings and humans, though some groups seemed more interested in saving the Psy.

It's just...the world as we know it got so big, and I felt like we only saw glimpses of the characters we've come to know and love.  There's a lot to wrap up, and with a world like this one, everything moved pretty fast.  Some things weren't resolved (like the Architect and the Consortium), and for a group that seems like a pretty big threat to Trinity, I expected more resolution to it.

But there's also a sequel series, so some of the things that aren't resolved in this book/series will probably be the focus of that series.  That's what I'm hoping, anyway, because otherwise, I'm not really sure what the point of introducing them was.

If I thought the character lists were getting longer...well, let's just the character list featured at the beginning of this book was the longest we've seen so far.  Understandable considering we've met a lot of characters along the way.  But one of the things I gave up on books ago was trying to keep a lot of characters straight, especially the side characters.  But also some of the main couples as well.  I had a hard time remembering a lot of the newer characters, and as much as I liked catching up with some of the characters, it also felt a little bit unfocused to me.  Maybe it's because of all of the characters we followed in this one.

I think part of why I only liked this one is that it felt like a really long epilogue.  Everyone's happy, things are mostly okay, but things are also setting things up for the next series.  I've enjoyed the series, and I liked that it was for the fans...but...it also seems like it's more for the hardcore fans of the series.  I like Singh and this massively amazing world she built, but it was a little too happy and sunshine and rainbows for me.  Or maybe I just wasn't in that mood when I was reading the book.

I think I just missed the overall story that we got in the previous books, and I kind of missed that in this book.  It just wasn't there enough in this one but in a series this long, you're not going to love every single book.  I just wanted something with a little more action to it, I think.

My Rating: 3 stars.  It's not one of my favorite books in this series, but I liked it enough.  It'll be interesting to see how some of the things in this book come up in the following books.

I was recently sent an advance readers copy (ARC) of the next book in the Psy/Changelings series by Nalini Singh, Allegiance of Honor. IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!!!

I have been a big fan of this series for a number of years now, I constantly go back and read my favorites. Ms. Singh has created a wonderfully, in depth world where three races: the Psy, Changelings and Humans live together in various stages of conflict and harmony based on their differences and interest in being the most 'powerful.' What makes this book the most fun is that it does not follow a particular couple as they start dating and eventually end up together with a happily ever after. All of the past stories in the series do follow those normal parameters, but this one is basically one big epilogue.

Allegiance of Honor showed you what's happening in their world politically but then took you into the lives of each of the previous couples, even couples that were in short anthology stories. It was almost a 'where are they now' moment. We got to see Lucas and Sascha, who are from book 1: Slave to Sensation, and there one year old daughter, Naya, as she learns to shift. Mercy and Riley, from book 6: Branded by Fire, finally have their babies. And every couple and supporting people from every previous book make an appearance as they deal with the current issues and the power struggle for the PsyNet and public opinion.

This is a wonderful addition to the series, it comes out for purchase in June so you have plenty of time to get caught up in the series!!!!!

This was actually so very good. It’s a bridge between the OG Psy-Changeling series and the Psy-Changeling Trinity. It’s a blend of POVs from the characters who got books and novellas throughout the series. I think Nalini managed to blend them all perfectly. I loved getting the domesticity and closer look at their relationships. Really loved having them all together!

Mere words cannot express how much I enjoyed this book. I usually dislike compilation or assemble books because they are pointless and offer nothing to the series, but not in the case of Nalini Singh. This book definitely had a purpose as well as being riveting. She introduce new characters, new avenues of the story, we visited favorite characters, said goodbye to other favorites, and entered a new arc of the series. All of this was done was such detail, development, and story flow that it made this book a masterpiece!!! Ever element tied into the overall series that it was fun discovering all the hidden gems and their connections!! I cannot wait for all that is to come from Nalini in this series!

This book was more of a "where are they now" feel. I liked it, it had some emotional moments and it also is the right place in the series for this. A closure for the past and a glimpse of the future. The pace was a bit slower and the scenes were shorter, but I felt like a family reunion somehow. Nice and easy to read. Still, I hope the next book has a bit more action.

((3.5)) Lucas siempre será mi favorito.
