I have not read the Dominion of the Fallen series (yet!), but I still enjoyed this novella and Thuan as a character! I’m looking forward to reading the continuation.

A pretty fun novella. I haven’t read the original trilogy, but there wasn’t any confusion. The world and magic feel unique and weird in a good way, and there’s plenty of intrigue, even if the main mystery is not terribly involved. Loved the dynamic between main characters, which really reminds me of the kind of BL manhwa I usually gravitate towards – vaguely historical, intense, with power-games abound.

Definitely want to read more from the author.

It’s certainly something. I enjoyed it but not entirely sure I understood. At times the magic was just a bit too magical and the character just a bit to fantastical.
