Cozy, but didn't ever really go back to what I thought the main plot was going to be. It did have nods to being present where you are and appreciating the now.

I was really looking forward to this book but I was completely let down.

The book is utterly boring. To start with, I was excited to see the concept of the laundromat play out but instead we started off with 50 pages of what seems like a backstory and information dump that I would have appreciated so much more if it were layered through the story.

No disrespect to the translator but this is one of the books you can tell got translated because the sentence structure is off and it often reads a little clunky so that didn't help my experience either.

Yeah, this was overall a nope for me.

Not very interesting. Very heavy on conveying good morals, which is fine, but not much story to go with it.

cozy, very sappy, & i really wish i could understand the korean language to appreciate the book to its fullest beauty (also definitely tracks that this author is a self-help writer)

I loved the concept, but it was so oversimplified and Pollyanna-ish that I wasn't feeling it. I know this is Buddhist philosophy. I don't know if this is a translation issue or not.  I also am a little unclear on some of the magical plot -
what is she? How does she disappear and materialize as a new entity? How does she live forever? Is Hae-in the same sort of magical entity? Is the snack shop owner Juien's mother?
. Anyway, not for me.  Could have been a lot more subtle and plot driven.

I want to give this benefit of the doubt , and I really want to like this concept in the cozy genre, BUT just washing away a creatives trauma will not help in his creative journey. And there’s things you can learn from negatives , this book just takes a simplistic approach without the nuance it needs for the film dude .
Also the intro before the “possible” customers start was a slog to read through.
What the film dude needs is therapy and support not washing it all away
