So my 15 year old cousin brought this book home one afternoon and I decided to pick it up and give it a go. It took me less than 8 hours to finish the book (JUST FOR THE SAKE OF FINISHING THE BOOK).
It was so terribly written I cannot believe it even got published. I'm sorry, the writer is 17, but my 16 year old sister writes 200x better than her, with a wider range of vocabulary for that matter.
Basically, this is such a random and shallow story influenced by Twilight and a bunch of other lame teenage love stories.

This is one of the most toxic boring thing I’ve ever read. It only works for you if you are like in your 13,s, or love to read wattpad fan fiction.
Lee and Elle are best friends for life. Lee's older brother Noah is the school's bad boy and totally hot. Romantic feelings fly when Elle kisses Noah at the school kissing booth. However, she could never let herself actually be with him because he is a "violence junkie" and it would be super weird for Lee. Secret romance complete with deception and sneaking around ensues.
This novel was written on Wattpad by fifteen year old Beth Reekles. Therefore, it did not go through typical publishing channels. With that in mind, it was a great book. I did have trouble with consistency issues, like British slang used in an American setting. The book read like a Fifty Shades of Grey for high schoolers. It will be important to keep that in mind when recommending it. There were several times when it could have successfully ended, but it kept going. It wasn't my favorite, but the story behind it is pretty cool.

I loved the movie which pushed me to read the book and it was idk..? The book seemed to move faster than the movie which was odd and like I said I didn't really enjoy this read.
this is garbage. don’t read it. everyone in it is annoying and stupid.
A cute "candy" book. Easy to read, nothing super annoying, good characters and some development. Even when you know that things aren't going to go as planned, nothing is ever horrifically awkward which is a nice change from teenage romance books. It was a little long, and felt like it had three or four endings. But I liked that the actual ending wasn't all fairy tale ending but realistic and still cute.
Its cute, there are parts that I liked better than the movie for sure. More silly drama in this then the movie however.
I love this story. Both the book and Netflix film is very good. The film follows the book well with just some slight changes. I really like Noah. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Picked it up after seeing the trailer for the Netflix movie coming out. This book has some real problems...I didn't realize it was set in America until halfway through because of all the British slang and one of the main male characters seemed to be two completely different people in the first and second halves of the book.
That being said it was a quick and easy read and I found it to be a fairly enjoyable (though unrealistic) story.
