Needed a break from Anne Frank’s diary as it is so heavy. This on the other hand was cute, fluffy and fun. It’s really predictable and fast paced. I didn’t really like Noah as he was really really controlling and overprotective.
Spoiler Also when Elle was asked to prom from other guys and messing little with the at the party was kinda weird. Like Noah was interupting her and when the guy started kissing Elle at the party, she thought it was okay even when she was kinda with Noah.

So yeah it was a little mess but still i kinda enjoyed. Also all the drinking was a little much for me. I think i’m gonna watch the movie next even tho the trailer was also really predictable and the actors don’t look like i imagined them.

Tottaly DNF i drop it at page 97 and the one star that i gave to it is because this toxic relation came from a teenager but she dared to write it and was very sussesfull and i still don't get noah character and Rochelle.
Todo es un gran NO el tipo es violento, controlador al límite y rochelle dice ah pero me pierden sus besos banquemoslo. Esto es otra prueba de todo lo mal que hace a veces el estereotipo de la bella y la bestia.

This wasn’t a bad read, I don’t think YA is my thing.

The writing is easy to consume and the premise is interesting. The character dynamics between the three main characters were interesting and fun (at times). I loved the relationship between Elle and Lee. It was fun and sweet. The romance between Elle and Noah wasn’t bad.

I wanted more from the romance in this book then what we got, both in terms of seeing them “date/hang out” and the development. While I liked Noah, I didn’t take to Elle in the same way. I don’t usually say this, but with the romance part, the movie did a better job for me then the book.
lighthearted slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

had a cute story line to it and a exciting romance but the problem didn't get solved near the end to the book it was more in the middle, leaving half the book being slow. overall a great story that me and my friend read during this week.

The Kissing Booth...no.

Let's start with that. It's just a big fat disgusting no. Do you know how excited I was to read this? All other commitments were abandoned for this! YOU BETRAYED ME. YOU HEAPED THIS SHIT ON ME. I AM DEEPLY HURT BY THIS BETRAYAL. Oh, you want to know why I've been left so wounded? I feel as if the author was being sneaky by pouncing on me with the mess that is Noah. I felt so uncomfortable reading about his and Elle's relationship, like honestly I felt like abandoning the book half way through but I persevered, more out of curiosity and the naive hope that it might possibly get better.

The Kissing Booth tells the story of "Elle", née Rochelle. She's been best friends with Lee since they were born, they're practically twins. Being on the school council, they have to come up with a booth for the school carnival and, naturally, they come up with the kissing booth. Ta-da! Now here's where things get messy. Elle has a crazy crush on resident 'bad boy' Noah,Lee's older brother, who pops up at the carnival and they, to use the American term, 'make out'. Like crazy. The rest of the book sees them sneaking around trying to avoid Lee (for his sake supposedly) and that's basically it.

Get ready for a serious rant children. Firstly, the beginning of the book, I LOVED. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Everything was so cute and real and I just loved it. But a few chapters in and we see Noah's violent, extremely possessive side. I can see that Beth Reekles made a conscious attempt to turn the protagonist into a strong, independent woman who ain't gonna be mistreated by no man, ever. Instead this just came off as patronizing towards teenage girls who are being mistreated in this way. I'm sorry, but where the fuck does Noah get off on trying to dictate Elle's life? And I mean her entire life. What she wears, who she talks to, who her friends are, what she does, how she does it, the list goes on! I mean, it almost seemed laughable! The way Lee and Noah were like "you're so naive, guys only talk to you because they're after one thing...to...KISS YOU". I mean come on, what even is that?! And the fact that Elle was okay with this a lot of the time and all Noah would have to do was kiss her. It seemed appalling to me. Now, I definitely wouldn't have a problem with this kind of relationship if the author was trying to make a point. But the fact that she was trying to write the relationship in a way that said "this is what you girls should aspire to have. This is the way love should be" made me cry inside. My heart ached to read this. I also didn't understand Elle's father. "As long as you think what you're doing is right, you go gurl". You are a failure as a father, pal. You need to check up on what your daughter is doing. Don't tell her not to drink. That isn't the problem here. It's what she's doing when she's sober that's the problem.

Basically, deeply disappointed by what I've read and I really hope girls don't look for these characteristics in a boyfriend. Because it's wrong and in real life, this is how physical abuse starts. Think about it. And Miss Reekles, think about the message your giving to all kinds of girls. Please.

Well. I guess that was... exactly what I expected.

ew. Maybe I'm innocent or I hate romance (though I loved [b:Love From A to Z|40148146|Love From A to Z|S.K. I shouldn't have wasted my time with it. The cover was embarrassing to carry around (ESPECIALLY in school) and the plot made everything worse. The writing style was simple. The characters are forgettable. Noah's toxic. Elle's a horrible friend. This was a waste of my time. I PROCRASTINATE READING BECAUSE OF THIS. I could have been reading something I actually like but nooooo I had to know what was so good about this Wattpad book. SMH.
