2.75 for me. Pretty standard thriller plot organization and I personally didn’t find it creepy or scary but more kitschy (but I’m clearly very picky in this realm). The twists didn’t really get me but the random and VERY strong stigma and bias against formerly incarcerated people sure did!

This was a great book but it gave me nightmares two nights, so i had to read it in the morning/daylight to finish it. Turns out i am still a scaredy cat at 40 years old! Hahaha! Great pace, great story with lots of twists and turns!

It was really scary and I say this as someone who doesn't get scared by books. It reads like a horror movie. I just don't like men writing from a woman's first pov. It just feels like intruding and changing. Anyways I tried the author but I think I won't read anything else by him.

This book had so many twists and turns and was just thoroughly enjoyable. If you’re not a fan of horror, it’s not as bad as the description makes it seem.
another BANGER from the thriller king, this was the definition of a slow burn, i loved flipping between the different perspectives, docked a star bc the twists came so fast that i didn’t have time to believe one thing before my mind was changed
