I am loving this series, I am more obsessed with Avery than I was before. She is finally getting to stand on her own and she’s taking on Mounts Bay and eventually the world as we all knew she would.
Aodhan is still my preferred guy. Im in love with him, he’s the perfect counterpart for Avery and the word so well together. Atticus is getting better but Im still not sold. I need more to happen in book three to finally be on board for him. Aodhan is family without a doubt.
That cliffhanger has me anxious for the next book. I expected a cliffhanger but not that one so I’m hoping for the best at this point.

Avery proves that she doesn't need her brother and Lips to have her back all the time. She is capable of putting together her own team and executing plans and when necessary can spill blood. And have her heart broken and still get into trouble. Where is The Devil at when you need him? I need him right now.
I don't even know why I'm writing a review of this book. If you're reading this, you have to know that there's a whole series of books to read to get here. Hannaford Prep, Butcher of the Bay, and the first Queen Crow book at least...before reading this otherwise you'll be lost. And you should read these books. This whole world is incredible. I'm such a huge fan. I'm most likely going to read all of these books again before the next book comes out and I don't reread books often...if ever. I think that is the highest praise I could give a book. Rereading.
So, read the books I mentioned above and then read this one and get angry at the cliffhanger and pray that July comes around quickly so this mess is cleared up. I don't know what's going on anymore and my brain is fried. The end.

I am at a loss for words. What can I say other than this book is amazing. I don’t know how J Bree does it but all of the Mounts Bay saga books just get better and better. I love Avery and the strength that she shows in these books. There are so many twists and turns that you never see what is coming next. I cannot wait for the final book in the trilogy.
So I love everything about this series. I have been waiting for The Ruthless and it was everything that I expected and more! More twists, more turns, more steam, more everything!

After devouring Hannaford Prep I had to dive into Avery's story. She intrigued me so much throughout the series.
If All Hail didn't show us how badass Avery truly is, then The Ruthless does.
