struggled with the random bouts of "he struggled to not punch Character XYZ in the face" and hazel slapping him on the side of the head. There was also a strange comment about people with piercings early on that I didnt appreciate. overall I enjoyed the book a lot but it was hard to get into and i was told the smut was "filthy" and i didnt even blush reading it. the side characters and main character jeanie are very loveable and i look forward to the next one, hopefully it doesnt also include the things i disliked from this one. it truly had the vibe of a small town romance, and had a few sweet moments, it just included some very normalised little things that werent relevant to anything and that i didnt like.

I really liked this book and the small-town romance as well as the natural seeming relationships between the main characters. I wasn't aware that there would be two chapters of very heavy sex scenes in Chapters 31 and 26 and these, especially as a younger reader, took me by surprise and made these parts less enjoyable.
