One of the master’s greatest - farewell, Cormac McCarthy!

Interesting. Not for anyone who hasn’t read The Passenger, which itself is not for anyone unfamiliar with McCarthy. Years ago I “finished” all of McCarthy’s novels with Suttree, which felt like an amazing end to the bibliography. Now I’m left unsure. Some great lines here, but would have been better suited as part of Passenger.

A peculiar coda/companion to The Passenger that I‘m not sure was necessary but still adds alternately compelling and vexing tiles to the mosaic McCarthy creates over these two books.
