I read this series a few years ago and they were entertaining. They were quick reads and a good story. Kind of similar to twilight series but with ghosts instead of vampires.

i reread this literally decades after i had first read this when i was in middle school because i wanted the nostalgic childhood vibes again. this did not disappoint! this brought me back to the early 2000's (a lot of the humor and slang was sooooooo 2000's lol). it was so much fun and brought back tons of memories of my life (and pop culture) at that time. i love the angsty teenage attitude suze had. there was fun humor and cute friendships formed. the love interest - jesse - who is a ghost is the perfect teenage hunk of a crush. ugh! i loved the vibes!

Suze is a mediator - someone who can talk to ghosts and help them with unresolved issues. You'll enjoy Suze's sassy attitude and the hilarious antics she finds herself in. While the premise isn't very original, the first of the series was a fun and fast read.

I absolutely adore this series, I've finished it three or four times since first finding Shadowland in my sisters room and confiscating it. (Ok stealing it) Meg Cabot is a great writer.
The series follows Susannah Simon (or Suze) who is a mediator. She can see ghosts and feel them like they are still alive. She moves to California with her mother to live with her new stepfather and stepbrothers in an old house which happens to be haunted (her room to be specific) by an overly hot ghost named Jesse. These books are a great mix of humor and mystery great for teens - young adults.
