I enjoyed this, a very easy read. Lots of heavy business kinda stuff but then also not enough - I kinda wanted more of the drama of it all, the mistakes, the people who help you get there, the balance with a kid.
I was constantly wondering how much was actually part of ZFBs journey (how autobiographal was it???) Because Ari sounded a lot like Hamish Blake (but actually able to commit hahaha).
The most annoying thing was her sister was called 'Rat' and I was like WTF parents? But then turns out (like 70% of the way through) that was a NICKNAME for NATALIE and I was so angry that wasn't explained earlier.
Also all the drama with her first contact with Max and then NOTHING FOR AGES I was expecting much more drama and intrigue with that storyline.
In short, not bad, good beach read, now I wanna start me a business.

REVIEW FOR FUTURE ME WHEN I FORGET THAT I EVEN READ THIS BOOK:

This was great! Super business-jargony but Zoe definitely catered to her audience by making sure it was presented in a way that was digestible and, dare you say, educational? You learned a lot, primarily that you will never ever start your own business. This really did read like a fictional memoir despite claims otherwise. The toughest part was you looooving the charismatic flaky ex to the point where you were heavily rooting for a reunion, even as Kit was condemning everything he said and did in his absent-father man child journey

I hated this book. Genuinely hated reading it and only read it because it was for my book club. Would never read again. I think I’m nice even giving it one star to be honest. It was all over the place. The time jumps don’t make sense. There is barely any plot and if it is everything feels too rushed.
