Vampires, Slayers and Fairies oh my!
Book 5 of the Blood Coven Vampire Novel series is by far my favorite!

In this book we pick up right after Sunny and Rayne learn the truth about their parents being fairies. We see Sunny and Rayne whisked off to the Slayer Inc training school Riverdale to protect them from the fairies who are trying to kidnap them. Rayne being a vampire has no blood to hold her over and soon ends up losing control and bites one of the students, Corbin, after he saved her from an attack from said fairies. Sunny is in depression mode since she just got Magnus back only to be whisked off to slayer school. Soon we find out the school is not what it seems and Night School is not what they were expecting. Rayne goes on a mission to solve the mysterious Night School only to be faced with a different challenge. Her sister has been taken. Now it's a race to rescue Sunny and save Corbin or kill him.

I thoroughly loved this book. It had action, mystery, love interest, and struggles with learning the truth. It had easily become my favorite of the series.

Short review: This was a free kindle book. I have read the twilight and some of the other teen vampire books. This is more Buffy than Twilight. Very referential and aware of its campy-ness. It was pretty funny. And considering I was coming in on book 5 (didn't realize that when I picked it up or when I started reading) it was fine reading it as a stand alone book. I actually might read some of the others. It was good for a lazy Saturday afternoon.

This is cute series that tends to have some cheesy humor that I can either look past, or laugh along with. This one however was a bit too cheesy. From the fairies names, to the simple jokes and converstaions, this book just didn't work for me.
SpoilerAlso, I feel the author could've done better with Fairyland, creating her own vision of it instead of saying it was like Disney World.
Still, I'm excited for the next book that we will read from Sunny's PoV, so hopefully it will be better.

At first I didn't really like the book because it was Rayne again and the whole fairy thing was kind of pissing me off. However towards the end I really was enjoying it and I can't wait for the next book! Plus yay for Sunny!

The only thing I disliked about this book is that Rayne was narrating it. Sunny is my favorite and was more interested in her story.

There were a lot of twists and turns in this book that I did not expect to have occur. However I feel there was a lot of buildup which was really good and then the ending was slightly rushed like it needed to be tied up in a nice neat bow. Still a good book.

Okay. Just when I thought this series could not get more irreverent or hilarious, I am proven wrong! What is better than Bertha the Vampire Slayer? Tinkerbitch of course!
