HOLY GRANGER! MY MIND IS BLOWN!
There are so many feelings right now...I'm sad, I'm happy, I'm actually quiet happy with everything but the whole thing with Adrian...
I LOVED THIS BOOK/SERIES SO MUCH!

This entire series has been a whirlpool of emotions for me, there have been many ups and many downs. I loved Rose, I was annoyed by Rose, I wanted to smack Rose, I wanted to hug Rose, I wanted to throttle Lissa, I realised that I definitely dislike Lissa, I fell for Dimitri, got hurt by Dimitri, I was stunned by the plot, I was hurt by the plot, and throughout everything, there is only one thing I am certain of - and that is; Adrian Ivashkov is the best bloody character in this entire series.

I actually really, really loved Spirit Bound and I had such hopes for the last book but there were a few things I wasn't happy with. While the main plot was brilliant, I felt that Adrian deserved more from Rose. He is so wonderful and way too good for her and after everything, I feel like the whole breaking his heart in that way was not okay.

I also thought that after EVERYTHING Rose and Dimitri went through, that there would be a little more relationship development? It felt super rushed, especially after all the hurt I felt in the previous book. I'm not entirely sure I even like Dimitri anymore and I think if we had a little more on their actual relationship, then that might have changed? I felt like the chapters on Lissa's trial were a little long, like I didn't need so information on that aspect of the book when we could have been rekindling feelings with Dimitri. I will say that I did not see that plot twist coming, like AT ALL, that was a brilliant twist to end off these characters stories.

I think my favorite part of this entire book was Joshua and his cave, he is absolutely adorable and I hosed myself!! I'm just saying, if I were Rose I would have totally taken him up on his offer, love out the rest of my days as some savage dhampir cave woman! 👀😂

Thank you for buddy reading this series with me bestie, @the_bookbasket 🖤

Yup, finished the whole series! Ha. Fun reading, even though I could have done without the love triangle!

Being alone is a terrible, terrible thing. There’s no one to run to, no one to confide in, no one who cares what happens to you.

It wasn’t that this finale sucked. I generally enjoyed it. I had a decently good time, a few chuckles here and there, and I was, at times, unsure of how it would end. But ultimately, it felt like a lot of nothing happened. It left very few lasting impressions. I’m glad it ended the way it did, but I just wish the ride along the way had been a bit more exciting, or a bit less jumbled. There were some random and kind of pointless additions in this, and some characters were pretty much entirely forgotten for the vast majority of the book, if not the whole thing. I’d give it 4 stars, but I just don’t care enough about it.

Here’s a question for you guys: is Bloodlines worth it?

Usually, the last book in a series falls flat to me, but I felt as though this book lived up to all my expectations. Yes, there is some loose ends in regards to certain characters(though I believe there is another series about these characters *cough cough Sydney and Adrian) but I feel like it wrapped up the plot and the main love story perfectly. I went into this series genuinely thinking it wasn't going to be great but adamant that I read it because the TV series got cancelled but I literally loved it(more than I should have, perhaps). It was everything one could want out a supernaturanl ya book. Tbh, it felt like this was the first series to fill the void left behind by the Shadowhunters. I will definitely have difficulty finding a series to read as fun as this one was!! Also to note, I have mentioned this on other reviews but other than her bad treatment of Adrian, I felt as though she has grown so much from book one to book six.
