This book was disappointing for me. I enjoyed the first book and the first part of this book was good, until it wasn’t. The middle got slow and was a little confusing. The treasure finding was too long and the last battle was anticlimactic. Maybe it was because I just listened to this and didn’t read, but I was glad it was over and I can move on to a different book.
To Shatter The Night
BOOK REVIEW
This book! I LOVED it doesn’t begin to even explain how I felt about the Characters nor the plot. Don’t even get me started on the twists and turns at every corner. Definitely a roller coaster of emotions.
The book continues right where book one “To Kill A Shadow” leaves.
Ki and Jude journey apart from each other, discovering some truths to the prophecy. They embark a journey with new characters along with the old ones, that you will come to love and learn who they are.
My heart was beating as I read.. as if I was with them on the journey, with each obstacle and shot of an arrow I was gripping for dear life… not wanting to loose any of the characters along the way. Loss, heart ache and love. Found family and self discovery all In this twisted adventure unraveling bit by bit, leaving me breathless. We learn more about the Gods and everything is explained to shed light on how the prophecy works. I could not put it down I wanted to reach the end to see what will happen, and what a beautiful ending. I missed them the moment I read the last sentence of the book and wished there was more.

Satisfying conclusion to a fast paced adventure filled fantasy duology. I listened to it on audio and didn’t love the narration. I read the physical book for the first one and enjoyed it way more.

This was a good follow up to the first book. I did feel like Kiara and Jude glossed over the fact that Jude left so that might have been good to explore more. The ending with Kiara giving up her powers also didn't feel like the usual heroine gives up her powers...she never liked them so I think it made sense in her character to do so.
