Somehow in less than 200 pages Pippa Grant was able to give so much depth to these characters!
Cash and Aspen are perfect for each other, they’ve both been pining after one another for awhile. Aspen is a rising star whereas Cash has been a celebrity for much longer and they’re able to really bond over that. There’s a decent amount of character growth and backstory even in a short amount of time, and the spice was spicy though it is a slow burn! This was a great Christmas novella with the tropes: slow burn, snowed in, landlord x tenant, found family.

Cash is a former boy bander, now movie star, is the landlord to an up and coming songwriter.  She is a lot younger than him but he's attracted to her but he refuses to be that cliché and ensures that he keeps himself busy and away filming as much as he can.

Aspen loves her little house, she has found a new tribe to love her and she wrote a viral Christmas hit song.  Yup, the girl who doesn't like Christmas wrote a new Christmas classic.

OML these two are like perfection.  Aspen is an old soul who has had more trauma stuffed into her short life than the average woman.  When a snowstorm traps her with Cash, she's the one to say "f*ck it" and makes her intentions clear!

This story has a wad of themes and they are all dealt with well: trapped in a snowstorm, good communication, snarky banter, non toxic friends, age gap romance that has no creepy vibe, no other partner drama and best of all no third act break-up!

Some of the best scenes are the those where it's just Aspen and Cash bantering back and forth, her slinging his movie lines at him and his self-deprecating humour about some his less celebrated movies.  The fact that the author made him fall on his a&& in the snow was funny and endearing all at the same time.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

This was one of the books I’ve been waiting for and it was so fun to go back to the Bro Code boys! I love how all the books interconnect into one world. Cash has been falling for Aspen as long as they’ve been texting and he’s talked himself into it being wrong because he’s older than her and her landlord. But when a sudden blizzard traps them together with one bed, things take a sudden turn.

Reasons I Recommend:

1) Cash is the typical Bro Code guy who steals Beck’s sweets and I love him

2) Aspen is sweet with her past and her worries about her music and

3) In typical Pippa fashion it’s full of quips and adorableness and utter sweetness!

A rising pop star and former boy band member, now movie star, get snowed in together over the holidays in Snowed in with Mr. Heartbreaker.

She has always been off-limits for him. First, there's that sizable age gap between them. Then there's the fact that he's her landlord back in California; she does live in his pool house after all. And then there's the ties between them; she's friends with his good friend's wife. He doesn't want to mess with the found family or make her uncomfortable in any way, but he fell for her over text before he realized who she was (or how old she is). He is so unbelievably gone for her but refuses to cross boundaries or make a move.

He's the one she thinks could save Christmas for her, but she would never tell him that.

I loved their sweet moments, banter, and the steam between them. I especially loved how they developed feelings for each other emotionally first and how competent Cash is. The man keeps them alive in the middle of a snowstorm and power outage in a mountain cabin in December, y'all.

Prior knowledge of both the Bro Code series and Copper Valley Fireballs series is helpful, but not necessary, to enjoy this one.

Sebastian York and Emma Wilder do a good job of bringing the story to life with their dual narration. It's a fun listen and at 3 hours and 41 minutes at 1x, is a quick novella length without extra fluff to listen to at Christmas or any time of the year.

I received a copy of the audiobook from the author. All review opinions are my own.

4 Christmas novella stars !

Cash Rivers is a former boy band member who is now an a-list celebrity and Aspen is an up and coming recording artist . They end up snowed in at a cabin because of a pop up blizzard and there is only one bed .. SWOON . That’s all tied together with some fun banter, a 15 year age gap and the makings of the perfect Christmas song .

This one was super cute and still had the funny Pippa charm but it was very short and i just wanted a little more after all the hype that was built up around Cash .

This audiobook is 5 in the Cooper Valley Bro Code Series and it can be listened to as a complete stand alone .

I'm not much for age gap nor for novellas but this one was fine. Fine-ish. I finished it.
We've got a friend of a heroine from a previous books and the next-to-last member of Bro Code.
Aspen and Cash were texting each other before she started living in the smaller house behind his house. Then they met in person and were instantly attracted but each have their own reasons for not wanting to make a move on the other.
Now, it's Christmas and they're at a Christmas party. They are caught under the mistletoe but Aspen runs. Cash follows her to a small cabin but they are in the mountains, there's a storm, and a bear, and a tree. They have to spend some time alone but near enough to each other to share heat.
There was the whole storyline of Aspen not liking Christmas but then it was resolved "off screen" and that annoyed me.

I loved Aspen and Cash’s snowed in holiday romance. Cash finds Aspen in a remote cabin to apologize for thinking he chased her off after a party but and end up getting snowed in together. This story was full of fun banter and mutual pining and was a fun quick listen. Emma Wilder and Sebastian York did a great job bringing these characters to life.
