Going through a lot of stress and this was a nice, fast, and uplifting read. The characters are lovable and overall a fun book to read <3

Mathior, the Cyclops king, who was saved as a youth by Princess Halla is now grown up and ready to marry. Sixteen years after her kingdom is over thhrown, Halla lives a quiet life in a convent until Mathior arrives and offers to marry her. He decided years ago he would only marry Halla. This is a quick read and set in the same world as Bound to the Battle God. There isn't much plot except at the beginning. The rest of the novella covers their 3 day traditional Cyclops wedding.

Cute couple in the Aspect & Anchor series. I adore how the MMC eases the fears of the FMC about subjects that affect real women such as age and beauty. Audiobook is well narrated.

I read this because I was in need of a palette cleanser & the premise of this sounded very intriguing so I was interested in how it was pulled up. I really enjoyed the reading experience and their relationship, it gave me exactly what I wanted. It is not the best book but this is one of the best of this genre of book. It is very fun and not meant to be taken too seriously, which is why I liked it a lot.

This book was almost identical to The Half-Orc's Maiden Bride. I'm not sure why, maybe because this was written first (as far as I can tell) and she just wanted to explore the concept more?

But down to the wedding ceremony, it was like reading the same book again -- and I made the mistake of reading this one directly after The Half-Orc's Maiden Bride. I think I would have liked it more if it was longer, or I hadn't read it on the back of the other one.

It was fun to read about the lore mentioned in Bound to the Battle God (a book I really liked), so that was a fun plus. Overall, especially if you haven't read The Half-Orc's Maiden Bride, this book is a fun and quick read.

Ah this could have been a full 4 stars if the author didn't use the annoying "oh ur first time having sex always hurts!!" trope. Over it. Gonna start a dang petition to get romance novels to stop teaching women and young girls that its ok for a man to hurt you your first time.
