This was sweet but I wish it had done more. The MCs Vali and Ranan felt very one-dimensional to me: everything about their personalities seemed to be based on Vali’s former life as a slave or Ranan being “bad with words”. There was some nice and unusual domesticity porn, but ultimately I didn’t really feel like the characters liked each other, and that made it hard to root for their romance.
