A continuation of Something borrowed-another great and fast read!

While I liked Darcy's voice and it was interesting to read from her perspective, I thought the story was so unrealistic and unbelievable.

Oh I hated the main character from first two thirds of this book, in fact I was about to give up on it had it not been for the good people on goodreads who encourage the reader to continue.

While I'm not sure I ever got around to actually liking Darcy, she at least was less obnoxious and therefore easier to read. That being said, I'm not sure I actually would have enjoyed the book if the "New Darcy" was that way from the beginning because there would have been no conflict for this book to revolve around.

In short-a good but frustrating beach read, not the next great novel.

Okay in the beginning I was not liking Darcy at all, I was thinking that she deserved everything happening to her (I sound so mean)
but then this girl went to London and she got a talking-to and then you realise omg, Darcy has good in her!
I was so proud of her and she came so far
but yeah this book was great
I am so glad it was Ethan, I love Ethan, I really do

I loved this. I read this one first, unbeknownst to me I was supposed to read Something Borrowed first. I really like the plot of this story and the characters. I like where the life paths went.

Good book. Going to look into others by author.

Good chick lit. Predictable but entertaining and kept my attention and even got me a little teared up at the end.

I really tried to get into this series, but I couldn't. I'm not a fan of the cheating trope. Just...no.

Sort of a disappointment.

I usually don't write reviews, because honestly, I can't be bothered to, since one or other reader always writes basically the same thing I felt while reading the book, so I just leave it at that.

However, I stand in a different position that probably most of the other readers since I've never read Something Borrowed or watched the movie. (I picked up this book as means of passing the time in the Discovery Cove park because I had nothing else to do.)

Cutting to the chase: I truly, deeply hate Rachel. She is, as Darcy so eloquently pointed out in this novel, a backstabbing cow.

By no means I'm saying Darcy was innocent and what she did while being engaged to Dex was ok, she was incredibly selfish and obnoxiously narcissistic in the beginning of this book, but Rachel can't exactly be considered a saint.

All things considered, this is a really great read and seeing Darcy's character evolve the way she did was brilliant and tear-inducing in the epilogue. :)

However, one thing that will always bother me is how Rachel got her happy ending with absolutely no difficulty whatsoever and she didn't suffer half of what Darcy had to endure throughout the book.

This obviously comes from being introduced to the plot through Darcy's POV, but right now I honestly can't even think of picking up Something Borrowed because I don't think I could stand reading 300+ of a character I hate so much telling the story of how she got her undeserved happy ending.

Ps. Giffin gets extra points the mention of Prince Harry, the ginger talk and the use of the word "dapper". :)
