As a follow up to Something Borrowed, this one seemed a bit trite and very predictable. Another easy read that was fairly entertaining, though.
i am slightly ashamed to admit that i ate this book up.
my mom sent it to me ages ago and i thought it sounded really dumb. but my next order from amazon isn't here yet, and i'm desperately out of things to read, so i finally caved in.
it's about what happens after your best friend runs off with your fiance, and you find yourself pregos with your groomsman's baby, and then he ditches you too, and you whisk yourself off to london after being disconnected from your family. (are you on the edge of your chair?!)
it was so simple, superficial, and lovely. i learned that indulging in superb, meaningless, unrealistic chic lit is a great way to escape your own dull mediocrity.
me likes emily giffin. my only regret is that i read this before i read something borrowed, which i'm just now starting.

This was another great one from Giffin. Can't wait to read the last one I haven't read of hers. I hope she writes some new ones!
PS - I just saw that she is coming out with a new one!

I accidentally watched the “Something borrowed” movie prior to reading these books so it kind of took a lot out of the books for me. I liked the movie better than I liked the books which is really really rare for me! But I think I couldn’t get into these books as much because I already despised both characters so much! Although Ethan was my favorite in the movie and the books, I’m glad there was more of him something blue. Blue defiantly a very predictable book and ending!
i hate darcy:( emily showing the main character as it Dary as a selfish rich brat woman.
I didn't like Darcy's character in the first book, but I was interested to see what happened to her after Something Borrowed. At the beginning, she was still the same old Darcy that I disliked so much before. As the story moves on though, you see the gradual change in Darcy. She actually grows up and gets her priorities in order. By the end, I liked Darcy. The plot was a little predictable, but I'm still glad that I read it.
I really liked this book but I couldn't give it any higher because of the horrid language used in the first half. I really liked the ending and how things came together. It's an easy read so it went fast.
