This book was actually so bad. So bad that I literally didn’t even read the last chapter I skimmed it. After we find out “who dunnit” there’s a pointless chapter about what happens after. This is literally a book written highlighting how some women’s behavior can be considered crazy by men. Which is odd considering it was written by a women. But why are we even allowing this notion to be so strongly acknowledged? All of us women we are all crazy in our own way. Rosie was a decent character and I felt kind of bad for her. Worst book I’ve read in a while. I must have read a different book because I really don’t understand these 4 and 5 star reviews

3⭐️ Cross My Heart by Megan Collins
Two things really irked me with this book lol
1. I HATE phrases/words being repeated ad nauseam; Incidents Around the House had “Daddo” and You Shouldn’t Have Come Here had “blue blue eyes” said over and over and over to point of me wanting to bang my head on a table. With this book, the phrase “Rosie colored glasses” was said soooo many times and was so annoying (the fmc name is Rosie and is always looking on the bright side of things so the phrase kept coming up).
2. This book is 24 chapters and I don’t think a single chapter ended without some sort of reference to Taylor Swift lol I was relieved when John Mayer of all people was mentioned for once because there just so many mentions of Taylor & her music. Now, I do enjoy when writers weave in musicians/music into the story but this was just too much. After finishing, I did google to see what the deal was and the author has talked at length about how important and inspiring Taylor’s music was when it came to her writing this book but my goodness, it was a lot lol
Outside of the annoying things, this wasn’t a bad book by any means but it also wasn’t that great either.
