So…I’ll give it this- it’s bingeable— but also so far fetched. Is like EVERYONE crazy?? Answer: yes. I liked that there were a few twists & several possible culprits. The thought of “ok this person seems off but so does this one.”the desperation of Rosie’s to find love was full on weirdo central, then she has this epiphany that she is enough and doesn’t need love (which given how unhinged she was just before that realization seemed unlikely), then she ends up going stalker girl at the first guy to be nice to her. Blair was a psycho- but also, how weird would it be for her and Morgan to have been lovers and him to discuss his sex life in great written detail to her? Talk about ick. My biggest issue was that I didn’t care for either narrator, which can really skew my opinion of a book. Overall, just so so for me.

Rosie Lachlan is dang near desperate to find her husband. After having a heart transplant, she now believes the person for her is the husband of the woman's heart that is now in her body.

This book was quick paced and had me questioning everybody but something was quite off. It did make great dialogue within my buddy read group.

If you like books with a delulu, unhinged main character, then this would be the book for you.

"If I had to sum up Cross My Heart in one line, I’d say: crazy women everywhere.
At first, I felt a connection with Rosie and her wish to find love, but the more I read, the more I shook my head at her actions. She never seemed to learn, and I just wished the characters were more likable."

This book pulled me in from the very beginning. The writing itself was beautifully done, and the characters were definitely intriguing. I really enjoyed the story being told through email exchanges in the beginning and how it immediately started building the tension. I was pretty sure I had things figured out about halfway through, but things went off the rails and the story completely changed to something I never could have imagined. I liked that there were twists and turns all throughout the book that kept me guessing, which kept me from wanting to put the book down! I honestly just really like everything this book had to offer, and will definitely be recommending it to anyone who loves a thriller!
