I never thought I would be writing reviews for the Warriors series in the year of our Lord 2021. Alas, I am returning to my later elementary and middle school hyper fixation as a palette cleanser and I had to write a review on this novel because I was reminded while reading it that this was the heel turn for the series; it was the point where it went from a children's story about ferals cats and moved to a political and violent commentary about loyalty, love, and duty.

Bluestar was and is my favorite character from the first arc. Her journey through PTSD, trauma, guilt and doubt is so advanced for a children's series that it definitely flew over my head when I was first reading it. A Dangerous Path moves her character from the depths of despair to fighting for the survival of her Clan, even if it means giving everything she had left. I can understand some people getting frustrated with her and the way she is processing everything, but her interactions with Fireheart are some of the best from the entire series.

Everyone gets something in this installment of the series. The return of our himbo kings Fireheart and Greystripe, Fireheart's complex relationship with Sandstorm and how his duty as deputy may come in conflict with his developing feelings for her, and the rising tension of Tigerstar being the new leader of ShadowClan.

If the series had stopped here, I would have been satisfied. It is incredible.

This book was good I just wish that they spent more time on The dog pack instead of Bluestar. It was just depressing and I felt like I was just sitting around for her to die
