I remember it being more exciting as a kid. It feels rushed and like it’s missing details now.

Very quick and easy read. It's dystopian, but in a mild way suitable for young middle-schoolers. As an older reader it was frustrating at times, waiting for the characters to understand something, but it was a fun book nonetheless. It definitely ends with a cliffhanger!

I love books that make me wonder “What if?” And this book did that for me. An entire city built underground. The citizens don’t even have words for sun, rain, sky, or even dog or cat. I really enjoyed the whole story and devoured it in one day. Already starting the second book.

One of the littles in our system read this because it was my favorite book from childhood and she loved it! She says it’s her new favorite book. Now I wanna read it again too

Interesting!

A wonderful YA journey in a dark underground, filled with the right amount of hope and despair.

This is a reread for me, probably my third or fourth time reading this book, but I haven’t since maybe elementary or middle school. I’m biased with how much I love this book just because of how nostalgic it makes me
