I read this for work. It was a good children's book with a good mystery and setting. It helped bring to life for me a childlike wonder in figuring out a world. The mystery is obviously easy to figure out I should say but for a child who is the proper audience for the book, it is pretty neat. I think it can help spark a nascent interest in science fiction in younglings so props for the book in that regard.

Wow! I'm impressed. This is probably the best kids novel I've read since Northern Lights and Harry Potter.

It's one of those grippers, I kept sneaking back to it when I should have been doing other things. I've seen trailers for the movie and hoping it lives up to the book. There are messages to this story but they are not rammed down your throat and the ending is a solid one that lines up the sequel. Looking forwards to getting my hands on these for the school library.

Stuck at baseball practice with only Zak's kindle and decided to read this. I enjoyed the movie and found I really loved this book. Great YA novel, with overall good moral messages. Totally makes you want to read the next book.
