Another good mystery/mysteries. I like the progression of Charley's powers and slow reveal of her background. I suppose the fact that I read it in a day means that it was really really hard to put down.

I still don't find all of the Reyes stuff normal or healthy but at least the guy redeemed himself a bit in this book. For a change he behaved like an actual caring boyfriend, although he still had his moments of being a manipulative and threatening jealous macho... So yeah, still not a fan of this couple ship...

I love this series and this is my favorite one yet! I love how the author has 1 or 2 mysteries that develop and get solved in each book and then there is the bigger story of Charley and Reyes that keeps building from book to book. This time I am diving right into the next book, can't wait to find out what happens next.
The pacing was all wonky and the tension was undercut literally every single time things started to get interesting. And that irreverent, sort of ditzy humor was so, so overdone.
Oh My Gods. The sex in this book is some powerful stuff. So much happened. It was really very fast paced. She deals with so much trauma though. I'm glad she's got so many people to lean on.
