This was easily my favorite book in the series. Charley is coming into her own (finally) and this novel really shows her growth. I also enjoyed the dynamic between Reyes and Charley because they seemed to be understanding each other better. The sex scenes were also super hot.

Another Charley Davidson and this one had a LOT going and with Reyes around, things are very very hot. In normal Charley fashion, she has a lot going on in her personal life and with the ghosts that hang around her apartment and this time it’s a lot of ghosts and Charley needs to figure out what happened to them, what’s going on with her sister, who’s burning down buildings and so on…I don’t think this girl actually gets much sleep. As usual, Charley made me laugh, Reyes made me swoon and he also made me want to smack him, and I was on the edge of my seat for all the mayhem that was happening around Charley.
If you already love Charley you will love this one.

This was delightful. I love Charley so much. She’s hilarious. I crack up the entire way though the book.
I liked Fifth Grave, but not quite as much as the previous books. There just wasn't very much that was fresh in this one. Still, it was funny and entertaining, and I liked it. I'd rate it between 3 and 3.5 stars. I'm still looking forward to the next book.
Some of the situations Charlie gets herself in are so crazy and dangerous! I am hooked and can't wait her reply to Rayes last stickie note at the end. This was another one that does a good balancing act of being emotional and hard to handle with comedy and "romance" to even it out and make the bad situations more acceptable.
Charlie did a lot in Fifth Grave Past the Light, and I've found my cruise control now. I am back to loving Charlie, Cookie, Reyes, Ubie, and the other characters just as much as I did when I first started this series.
There is an overall arc in the series which is getting more exciting, and I love how Charlie is more interested in learning all she can possibly do.
