Solid advice. Nothing crazy new, but gets you thinking
fast-paced

This was not the book for me. As a person who struggles with boundaries and burnout this advice wiuld be hella damaging to take. Also....kinda fatbobic, definitely ablist.

Favorite quote from this book: “reject your sense of injury and the injury itself will disappear.”
As someone who suffers from anxiety/depression and tends to overthink every single thing, sometimes you just need a book that’s straight and to the point. Sure, a lot of Bishops affirmations were cliche and short but they were simple enough for my brain to understand and take action with.

If you lack motivation to quit a bad habit, you're struggling to make progress on a goal, or you don't believe you can get out of the rut you're stuck in, this might be the kick in the pants you need to start making positive changes in your life. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it's a quick and enjoyable read that cuts to the chase of why we settle for lives we're not happy with and how to change your mindset.

More of a solid pep talk of things you already know than some illuminating secret knowledge. I found it better to listen to than read. Its read by the author and the title and style goes rather well with his Scottish accent. With quarantine dragging me down this book helped me stop moping around and do some house DIY projects and some hobby electronics projects I always wanted to do but never seemed to have time for.

I audiobooked it, and really liked it, also scottish accent ftw. Straightforward and made some good points, on being relentless and switching your patterns towards things you do want to do. The ball is really in your court, get it done, or don't, but then don't be jealous and angry towards the people who are putting in the work.
