I would like to pick up a hard copy and do some highlighting, though I think the energy the author put into the narration is part of what really packed a punch with this book.
This was just the book I needed to read. I was slow to start but the ending was well worth the advice.
I've been trying to read more self-help books that aren't super preachy, and I started with this one. While I definitely don't think this book was preachy, it was repetitive and I didn't get much out of it.
While there were a lot of small things I needed to hear and be reminded of, it wasn't anything that I didn't already know or haven't heard before. I liked that the author gave seven "assertions" to live by and tell yourself, but the context within the chapters was a little repetitive.
Overall, this was fine. It was a fast read and I don't regret reading it, but I also could've one without it.

LOVED this audio book so much. Plus the Scottish accent makes it so enjoyable to listen to. Highly recommend.
As someone who can go through every single what if scenario in my head for every situation in a single day this book really hit home. I plan to listen to this audiobook a few more times over the next year to make sure I really absorb the message of the book.
If you have high anxiety and you over analyze every single thing that you do every single day I recommend this book.

This book was not ground breaking for me but I did like the message.
It was like dusting off my brain and telling myself to snap out if it.
I think for people that have done little to no self reflection this is a really good starting point to looking in the mirror and realizing you are the designer of your own destiny.

This book is inspiring, insightful, not preachy, and honestly somethings I really needed to hear. It can be hard to hear some of this since, bruh I have depression I can't just STOP that. But take your cynical cap off a bit, and try some new things out. Doing new things helps.
Side blurb: chapter 6 & 8 are my highly recommended just to skip to this, if you want really good chapters.

I liked that the book was delivered with a bruntness. I don’t like when self help books compare your situation with celebrities because if we’re being honest, we don’t know the kind of support they had to make the sacrifices that it took to succeed
