4.5 stars! I really really enjoyed this book. I don’t think I’ve read books focused on sports since middle school but if they feel like this I’ll definitely have to pick them up more often. This book had me wanting to pick it back up the entire time, I loved the relationship Carrie had with her father. The relationships she had with Nicki and Bowe and the ways these characters all developed. Nicki especially was a cool character to see interact with Carrie, she provided the crucial perspective that Carrie required to change her mind about why she was working so hard and finally open her eyes to what her dad had been telling her the entire time. OF COURSE her dad had to die

don't get me wrong, any Taylor jenkins reid book is very readable, but this one felt more predictable than the rest. and the whole love story was quite annoying at the start, i just kept wanting to scream "girl shut up,
he's clearly in love with u
". i didn't love the main character although she grew on me as she grew herself

I am in love with this author and this character. At first once the beginning of her career was explained, I didn't think I would like it but I loved it. I laughed, I cried. I couldn't put it down. It makes me want to watch Tennis!! I know some of the tennis and spanish was hard to follow, but i just loved it. A must read!
